Reminiscence to J2ME...

Anyone think it would be worth porting the Reminiscence (
    http://membres.lycos.fr/cyxdown/reminiscence/ ) engine to J2ME?

It's the engine used behind the SDL Flashback port?

    Reminiscence to J2ME...

    Ok heck yeah!

With the increasing amount of portalbe devices out there --and as I can forsee in the near future a want to increase the screen resolutions-- vector graphics would be a powerful method of designing games since you are not stuck to a specific WxH size screen.

Another World (FNX and I were actually discssing these games recently in an off-forum conversation so it's a pleasent supprise that someone else mentioned them too) is a great example of it's technology and it's durrrable potential. They are still making remakes and ports of it.

Started with EGA on the PC under DOS, went to SNES and Windows later on and just recently Erick Chachi released a Collector's version with new art backgrounds and enhanced polygon detail. It also has settings to bring it back to a replica of it's original visuals. Oh, and someone ported it to the GBA too. (That one is free! Another World GBA)

    I say go for it!
