    What connection are you using?

    does 28kb count?
I live in a country area, with phone lines probably 30+ years old. I only have a 56k modem that is so slow there is virtually no internet, though it is unlimited :?. Very rairly does my download break 1KB/sec, and we have 3 computers trying to run off it .

Broadband in Australia pretty much doesn't exist unless you live near a big city .

    What connection are you using?

    My answer : <4mb
    Actualy i can have 3 connections :
    1) 2Mbit down, 512Kbit up (open-garden)
    2) 1Mbit down, 512Kbit up (for extra money)
    3) 512Kbit down, 128Kbit up (standart)
This costs me about 20 euro per mounth Not bad, i think. My ISP can get you internet anywhere if you hava a digital phone line (allmost 1/5 of internet users in Latvia uses this connection ).
But there will be changes so as much as i know i will get 10Mbit connection but who know what will happen...

In Israel high speed connections are pretty cheep (about 25 US$ for 2MB) but they offer only 128k upload bandwide the 5MB connection offers 256k upload and its triple the cost.

    What connection are you using?

With my service they gradually increased the bandwidth, it's fast now. I would be OK with 1/2 the width for 1/2 the price
