very good article on high precision timers

When i implemented pause in my game, i noticed that when i pause and unpause the timer imprecision starts doing weird things (such as explosions rewinding back in time), and i suspect the timer imprecision also causes my frame rate limiter to be imprecise and fluctate too much, today i came across this very good article about the timer precision importancy, it also explains possible problems you can have with most often used method - queryperformancecounter on dual core processors or notebooks with varying cpu clock.
