    Asphyre 3.x on Delphi/Lazarus

    Greets,

Just wanted to let you know guys that Asphyre 3.1 has been ported to Lazarus and Pegasus_Seiya asked if someone can test it to find bugs.

Also, Asphyre community provided an Unofficial Asphyre PowerPack 3.1.0, which includes sprite engine and many things published by other users.

The newest version, Asphyre 4 is being developed, and with cooperation with Pegasus_Seiya will be also available for Lazarus/FPC as well.

    Asphyre 3.x on Delphi/Lazarus

    This is awesome news Yuriy!

I think once Lazarus impliments it's own improved packaging system that doesn't require complete recompiles of Lazarus it's self, such things will become the norm.

Actually, packages aren't really needed in the next incoming release: you will only have to add path to the sources. This is because Asphyre components are no longer derived from TComponent and are not based on VCL (worse for CodeGear/DevCo/Borland anyway - still nobody will need to buy the freakin' license and IDE looks less pretty without fancy VCL components).
