Here is the 2nd Video Ad for the 2007 PGD Annual. I've featured a bunch of other games and included a new soundtrack to boot.

I can see huge improvements over the previous movie! In fact, I like this one a lot better. The music fits the movie better and the transitions between the games is definitely a lot better this time. I also think you take enough time to display the message of the competition, in this video.

I actually have only one critic: the last few seconds where you cycle through the titlescreens. They pass by way too fast to get a good understanding of them.

Overall, its a really good job!

Thanks Alex.

Ah the little quick flipping titles I put on the end... That was a neat little effect that I put in quite purposefully.

Sort of a conceptual thing where by showing that we had several titles created via the 1st and 2nd competitions and this being the 3rd was a new page in the competition.

If I had much more time to play with it I would have made them flash by a bit faster and added more title shots. Unfortunately however I just don't have that kind of time lately. :?

I have a 3rd video ad that I'm planning on releasing before I call it quits. It'll have a whole bunch of information about the past competitions instead of just video clips and title screens. We have also gotten a 'special guest' to act as the narrative host. But I'll leave you all to guess who it is.

*whew!* I nearly missed the second video... The news screen with the first video burnt into my head that much, that I did not realize the new video at first...

Anyway, nice job!

I would really like to see some ingame videos with sound, for it always gives a better impression of gameplay and atmosphere of the games (just my guess )

I am very curious about the next video(s)... There are games I already forgot I played them... and by the way, in my opinion many of these games have a high quality look.... I hope that also some "game industry" guys will stumble over this videos incidentally.

You got a special guest? Bill Gates

Thanks JC! In case I missed ya the first time, welcome to PGD.

The top-down shooter was 'Project Moon 2' by Binary Dream Inc.

You can try it out yourself by downloading it from here: http://www.pascalgamedevelopment.com...?p=details&c=1
(Just scroll down and look for the 2nd screenshot in the list of games.)

It was a fun game, however it was not completed and it has some glitches with the fonts/text. But impressive nonetheless.

Hi fuwa.

The theme of the competition is multiplexity, so the main goal is to combine 2 or more game genres in one game...

You can still enter the compo.

On the start page of PGD there is a Flash-Logo of the competition to the right. Click on it to get all the information!

Greetings,
Dirk
