Where do you get your sounds and samples?

Do you make your own, use free domain or do you have a sound man working for you?

    Have any good sites?

Where do you get your sounds and samples?

I hav a few websites I get sounds from. From what i'm seeing they're the best sound sites around :-) specially for games.

    there are:

Find sounds which has a great search facility:
    http://www.findsounds.com/

    and

    The wave central:

When they say it can't be done, THAT's when they call me! ;-).

Where do you get your sounds and samples?

A few years ago I nought a CD with royalty free sounds on it. I mostly just cut pieces out of these sound files for my games.

I also have a sound recording sound card at home (MI2) with a mixer for making my own stuff but it is so difficult to use I very seldom get anything useful out ot it. (Pretty much the biggest waste of R4500 ~$700 I have made)

I record them from movies sometimes..

I got cool car crash sounds from recording sounds from rally crash videos. (yes, there are some without background music)

Where do you get your sounds and samples?

I purchased a load of Sample CD's a few years ago. Sometimes I search on the Net for free ones, but basically, I use one's I know I've got the rights to use.

So far iv'e only really used midi music, from free search ones. Searching Free Midi Music in Google and the first few results is pretty much what I have used.
