Maybe one of our German friends can tell us what the story is all about, but this little guy is just sooo darn cute.

I loved that one with the polar bear, made me want to take it home for a pet. Then I was reminded that polar bears can kill you with one arm, and kill for the sake of it when they're older...

Would make an AWESOME guard dog though

Yeah, thats true. If you like dangerous animals, read this. You'll probably not gonna belive it anyway, cause no one does

So there's the story. In 1929 in Sedziszow there was a guy who have been a tiger trainer in Ukrainian circus. He was somehow related to my grandma's family. He didn't like how animals are treated there, so he stoled one of the little tigers and came back to live in his home town. He used to walk with his pet, just like poeple walk their dogs. Since his tiger grew big, problems with police started, so this man moved (or walked?) away with his pet somewhere, probably returned to Ukraine.

Must have beed an amazing view, walking with tiger as a guard dog
I know it sounds like a fairlytale, but when I'll be home I'll look for some pictures and post them somewhere

The polar bear is Knut. He was born this year in a zoo in germany. It is quite a sensation that a polar bear is born in captivity so this bear went through all media and still is very popular.

The man who cares about him is his human father because the polar bear mom did not want the baby. The video shows the progress of the little bear since his birth. He is now able to stay on 2 feet while eating, discovers his playground and such things. Thats it In germany, everyone knows "Knut the polar bear". He is a little star here

    Greetings,
    Dirk
