    Hang Drums

    Anyone here play Hang Drums?

I've been hearing them lately, and the more I hear them, the more I think they could be used for games...

Try listening to a bit of that... It is amazing. Without vocals (which is good for alot of games) it sounds perfect, and would be good background sound, especially for an RPG game... As far as I can tell. I'm thinking I'll put this stuff into my game I'm designing (will make a post once I actually start the programming of it)...

If anyone here plays these, would you mind contacting me? I'll fill you in on the details of the game.

A song currently up there, which I think is perfect for a Japan based game, or even a calm RPG, is GIDDA- Alone.

    Hang Drums

Hang drums are quite rare instruments, they are very expensive and they need a lot of practice to perfect one's technique.

I owe a very basic segment (it was a present), but I don't use it too much when I play the "classic" drums. I don't think you're going to find someone here who's hang drums is *native* instrument.

But hey, there is a solution Use VST, wikipedia holds any information about it you need. I'm sure there are some hung drums plugins somewhere. You have to find non-commercial one, download it and copy/install into any synthethiser that accepts VST/VSTi. There are some freeware apps/vsts here.

    Hang Drums

Hmmmm, thanks. Well, I made a post on the hang-music website, (http://www.hang-music.com/forum/view...pid=4012#p4012) and asked about free music from one/some of the artists there, but I found that the Hang Drum was about perfect for the music I wanted.. And I was quite interested in buying one myself, to be honest. If its under 600$, I might decide to buy it... Someday. I have other priorities right now.

I found them on the forums of Hang-Music.com.

    Hang Drums

Thanks. I might end up paying some small fee, but that's fine if it results in some good music for the game
