Game made in Delphi 7 - Astral Masters

Hello folks. I am not sure about the right category of this topic so let admins decide where it should be...
Few days ago I was experimenting with some application which shows you what compiler an EXE file was made by. I was testing some EXEcs to check its reliability and out of curiosity I tried one of my favourite games - Astral Masters. You can imagine my surprise when the application said it was compiled by Delphi 6-7. I wrote an e-mail to the game creators and asked them if it was true and the answer was YES.

Here are some screenshots from this game:

The game is a card game which I guess is similar to the Magic The Gathering. You can play it over the internet, lan or in a league on your computer. You have many cards, each of them with some abilities. The idea is to kill an opponent by using creatures or spells from your deck. You can create your own deck for some price of mental power which can be gained by winning with others. You can play it free on the internet; however, after registration you may use much more powerful cards

There is also a similar game called Astral Tuornament created by the same group of people. Maybe is it worth to make some interview with game creators for one of the future Delphi Gamer Magazine issues?

    Nice find wodzu!

If you have a Great Game Experiment account perhaps you can add a new game profile for it as a fan. (You can post game profiles for any game, considering that there is not already an existing copy, as either one of it's developers or just a fan) If you nag Sascha Willems enough I'm sure he'll add it to the all-mighty 'Games Made with Pascal' list.

I have also found that another easy way to determine if a game is made with the Delphi compiler is to simply open the EXE in Notpad. --Seriously!-- You'll often find variable names or types within the 'goop' there. I can't remember why exactly, but if you see one called a 'Real' or 'Integer' in there... you can bet your socks that it was most likely compiled by something using a Pascal-based syntax.
