    Project Omega

Hi, I was wondering if we could make a forum for my Project Omega Components. Any objections?

    Thanks

    Project Omega

While we wouldn't want to have a forum for every member's personal projects, I think the Omega components are important enough to the Delphi community to justify the creation of a new forum. Bobby has just released a new Beta version so I'm sure there will members needing some help using it. DelphiX has its own forum now (as voted for by YOU *points at the 'Memberlist' link*) so why not Project Omega?

    No objections here

    Project Omega

It's been 2 days and no one seems to have anything to say about this so I'll set up the new forum

    Thanks

Sorry guys, here I am in 2025 needing this library to compile my project

I'm afraid I might have to disappoint you. Project Omega is very old and discontinued project. The original author Dominique Louis known on this forum as user savage has soon after posting about the Project Omega started working with another developer on JEDI-SDL library.

Couldn't find any information on THIS project omega (there are many others, not even Delphi projects). Could you elaborate on the goal of the project?

According to one post by WILL: "It's a rather popular DirectX based suite that uses DirectX 3D for hardware acceleration for 2D sprite effect speedups. It is specifically for Delphi(as it's obviously Win32 only) and is VCL based."

    Good to know.
