Thread: New OGL template

    New OGL template

Here is the new version of my OGL template. I added the capability to load DXM files. These can be created with Deled a nice simple freeware editor I use. I use this to prototype new technologies. The current loader only import the geometry and the first material layer if it is a texture, but this is ennough for me. Since Deled doesnt generate normals I implemented generation of polygon normals and per vertex normals. The per vertex normals generation is based on an algoritm by Nate Robins. I added a nice scene I use for working on my indoor lighting model for the Genesis Device Engine. The scene was modelled by me except for the head.

Note that the generation of the vertex normals take to a minute with the included scene.

    Looks Good Luuk.

Just for a giggle I tried to run this under wine. No luck, but it did managed to create the screen and load all the textures I'll try it on my windows partition when I get a minute

    New OGL template

    Looks great man!

But i don't see much contrast in the screenshots. The pilars and the walls almost have the same color. But with some extra lighting and/or different textures, it will be easy to fix this. The pilars look ugly when you get really close, but i'm sure this is just the very beginning. And i'm just nitpicking

    Keep it up.
