Does anyone have some OpenGL code to do a Sword swoosh arc style effect? Typically as seen in fighting games like Soul Calibre etc.
Just noticed this. Are you still interested in this, Dom, and which aspect - the generation of points or the rendering (or both)? I can't imagine that it would be more complicated than just drawing a triangle strip or whatever, blended. Maybe with a texture w/ alpha to make it fade out at the oldest part, or something like that.
If you're still interested then we can throw a few ideas around here (I can't say that I've tried it myself, because I've been so lazy recently).
