Well I used it in the 2D engine which was called VFA (Vector Fish Anomaly... don't ask) and the VFA WM was used to manage the various windows including the physics test.

It was ported by Paul Robello and I've found it to be excellent, very quick.

in the small world of 2D physics engines, there are many that say Chipmunk to be the best, I believe it's a derivative of Box2D.

However which is best? APE? Box2D? Chipmunk?

I should imagine they're all good enough for most game projects, I suppose it's a matter of which interface you prefer unless you're after a very specific feature.

I'm not sure though and concidering all three are ports to pascal, comparisions run by our C/C++ cousins are not applicable to the implementations available to us.

Perhaps if someone has the time to drop all three into a framework, define the same physics structure in each and benchmark?
