    Finished a game?

    Hi!

There's a lot of talk on this board on how to make a game (for natural reasons ), but how many have actually been able to finish making a game?

I just thought it would be interesting to see some of the work people have made. (I probably could browse through this forum but I don't really feel like it plus I doubt everyone post about their games here.)

To start off I've made a game called Ultra War and it's possible to download it from http://www.elektronix.tk. I made it a long time ago and I'm not to happy with the programming but at least I finished it. Also don't confuse it with Ultra War SpinOff which I still work on...

    Finished a game?

It?¢_Ts hard to define finished, it?¢_Ts possible to create a small one level game and call it finished, or make a much larger playable game, but if more content is planned then it wont be called finished. If by finishing you mean getting it to play and not planning to ever improve or add anything to it then here?¢_Ts my 'finished' snake game http://www.stud.ktu.lt/~andrpau/Snake.zip, 16Kb uses DirectDraw.

In fact for the moment I achieved some work on tech demos and very little games the basic ones like Space Invaders and Tetris

Actually I'm working bigger project, a FPS called Sanaloria (with a friend of mine who is making the gfx)

I'm actually working on the first release of the engine ... But ^^ It's rather difficult and even more when you're alone

You can tele me what you think of it, any feedback would be greatly appreciated

    Finished a game?

I just finished a block game for a competition, so I can't post the game here because there were 28 games sent to the competition and the judges aren't done yet. But I can post a screenshot :

(the quality of the image is bad and the game was improved a bit after taking this screenshot)

Both are made on programming compo. First one was a one week compo 1yr ago, second 12hour compo 2yrs ago.

Currently working on some web based game project with made in Delphi game client. Webapp must be made in Java, its hard to find ASP server for hosting so we cant make webapp in D8 ASP.NET

I think that for 1000 started project, just 1 or 2 get finished.. and this not only in delphi, but whatever non-commercial game.
I've got a couple of finished games, one of which is quite interesting and i'm proud of it (but it is not in english).
But i also have more that a hundred of unfinished projects, some just at the beginning, some well developed that i'll never end.
I think that finishing a single game is actually more important than having tons of good-looking work-in-progress games.

In fact i was quite surprise to see horrorween finished I was very cool but overall it was finished

    Finished a game?

I remember finishing a couple of very simple games when I first started on my journey into games programming (They have since been lost, never to be seen again). But none of my bigger pojects ever get finished. I very nearly completed a worms clone. It is one of my major grievances, I just can't seem to muster the enthusiasm by the time i've compiled a couple hundred times. That's why they all fail. But I have a new isomtric project at the moment so here's hoping but don't hold your breath.
