So one of the main persons behind the Delphi Compiler, Danny Thorpe, has recently left Borland and went to work for Google. He worked for Borland as a Chief Scientist and was mainly in charge for the Kylix compiler and the integration of .NET into the Delphi compiler, but also did some of the Win32 updates for it.

Though it sounds hard to loose on of the main persons behind the developement of a compiler, Danny said that this won't have too much of an impact for the Delphi compiler, as Delphi is a product of a whole team and not just some single individuals.

If you want more informations directly form the man himself, he has posted about all this on the Borland Newsgroup.
