As a professional game developer myself, I can assure everyone that most commercial games will use all the CPU time that they can get. You just don't see it because the game is running full-screen. There is no harm in this. It doesn't 'hurt' the CPU. It is no less efficient. The CPU is there to be used. Why not use it?
