A Quake3Delphi project coming up?
Wow, that'll be cool! Just think of all the engines that'll spring up because of it. Really nifty.
This is worthy of a news article!

Has the group who converted quake 2 to delphi have plans to do the same for quake 3?
It should be possible to still make some sweet games/programs using the quake 3 engine.
The views expressed on this programme are bloody good ones. - Fred Dagg
No plans have been announced as yet, but then, the news is just announced. Give them time. They may come to the party. I do expect it to be a bigger job though than Quake 2.
In fact in the german (DGL community several people shows interest in convert the quake3 codebase to pascal compilers. We are just starting to prepare everything for this work and will try to start as soon as the code is released to the public. Even as a german community the official language in this project will be english, so everybody here is invited to help. Detailed informations will follow as soon as the code is released to the public and taken the first views. The Quake2-team did a great job and I think it would be great, if we show again, that even a big engine like quake is able to run on pascal compilers.
