It's total crap, models or any kind of poly data has no inheirant scale, it could be 1 meter or a million, it totally depends on what scale factor was chosen for units. there's no standard, to suddenly claim a resolution in mm in this context screams somebody that doesn't know what they're talking about, certainly not the developer of the worlds most advanced graphics engine.
